Our service vehicles are well stocked and our qualified technicians, are able to complete most garage door and operator repairs on the spot. Alan Fortnum, the owner/operator of Upright Door Service has been involved in the garage door industry since 1985 (DBA Adal Carpentry 1985 - 2000). January 1, 2001, the name was changed to Upright Door Service in order to better reflect the nature of the our business and to allow us to better focus on the needs of our garage door clients. Since its inception Upright Door Service has been a proud member of The International Door Association (IDA). Alan, and brother Jim Fortnum were among the first in Durham Region to be recognized as Certified Residential Door System Technicians by the IDA.
